Nikko Top

Nikko Top from Mood Fabrics' jersey knit worn with my Blackwood Cardigan

I had so much fun making my Nikko Dress, I needed a top, too.

Here is my dress and the pattern is available from True Bias with my fabric, a dark rust Jersey from Mood.

I do have some wrinkles at the underarm, so one of two things - the sleeves are doing something to the top (since the dress was sleeveless and I don't have that issue) but I think the real issue is this fabric really doesn't have enough stretch for this pattern.  I made a size 12 this time and the fit is good, just snug and I don't think enough stretch for the bust area

It is okay, because I will really only wear this with a cardigan, as shown here with my
 Blackwood Cardigan.

I am debating if I want to take off the sleeves and make it sleeveless since it will be a layering piece but I will wear it a few times before I decide on that.

For now it is great how it is and a good color to add to my closet.

Happy sewing all of you.
