My inspiration was Chic Over 50's Instagram post
a beautiful tropical print wrap skirt. Style Maker Fabrics' had this See You at Six Tropical Jungle Rayon in a Sunday newsletter. I just went right and ordered it. After the fabric came, it was time to find a pattern, Simplicity 1069 was just the wrap pattern I wanted.

Once I started looking at the pattern, I noticed the wide leg pants. I put a poll up on Instagram Stories and the pants won, so I was leaning that way. Then Karen (intostitches) sent me an Instagram post see here and after weeing that, I knew I wanted to make the pants.
Now for sizing, the Simplicity pattern had finished hip measurement on the pattern but not waist. I went with a size 12 in the hips and 14 in the waist. I also added 2 inches to the length.
The sewing is good, pleats in the front, darts in the back and invisible zipper at center back. I ended up taking in quite a bit at the waist.
I am happy I added the length, I needed it just to hem.
Mike and I took the photos, at my Aunt's lake, she use to sit in that chair and fish. It is now my cousin's place and I need to remember to take photos there more often, it is a beautiful and peaceful place.
I love these pants so much, I feel glamorous and so chic. Thanks Shauna for the inspiration, Michelle for the perfect fabric and Karen for the photo for the pants. Mike and I finished the photos, we went to the grocery store, I was very fancy!
