Rush Hour Blouse

A peplum blouse and princess seams sounds like a great combination, so I went to work on it with just a few changes.  This top is  high waisted and I am not!  I had a RTW top which had what I described a drop waist and then the peplum, I loved that top.  The Rush Hour Blouse seemed like the perfect pattern to try this option.  Plus, it has such a fun peplum with that front overlap.

Gelato Blouse - Liesl & Co

Peplum style tops are still going strong and Liesl & Co has a great couple of patterns for a peplum top.  One of these is the Gelato Blouse and Dress and I used it for my peplum look and it has such great details.  The details of this blouse from the Liesl & Co site “Relaxed pull-on peplum blouse and A-line dress feature a scooped neck and bust darts. The blouse, View A, includes ruffled peplum and sleeve as well as a button-placket back detail.  Also, I need to point out this pattern comes in the new expanded size ranges, 0 to 30.

Velvet Maritime Knit Top

  Does December just fly by?  Are you like me and have so many plans for Christmas gifts and special holiday garments?  Well, lots of family obligations this month meant limited sewing time.  I did make several gifts, including matching pajamas for the five grandkids, we increased by three this year!  So here is the one garment I made for myself this month, but the fabric  is the star and perfect for holiday gatherings.
