Scout Tee - Silk Border Print

Grainline Scout Tee made from a Silk Border print

Easier projects, I do love them.  I usually turn to them when I need a quick sew, want to sew up some stash or going to start a larger project.  This Scout Tee happened because of all three!

This pattern was selected because of the fabric, the fabric needed to be the star.  It is an amazing Mood Fabrics' Silk Crepe de Chine sorry sold out.  The Scout Tee is a nice basic that shows off the fabric.  I have made this pattern several time (see here).  The very first one I still have and love wearing it.  I also love the knit one I made with print mixing,  When I made the denim one, it was a bit tight.  I looked in my pattern to refresh my memory.  I have a size 8 and a size 10, well the size 8 is for the knit and size 10 is for wovens.  This one fits so much better.

Here is the back.  I really don't have much to say about this pattern, it is a good one and I like to make it.  Quick and always looks good.  Plus it is a fabulous layering piece.

One more royal blue quick project but all the photos turned out not so good.  This one is the
Union St. Tee.  I wider neckband from a floral knit and the same fabric for the pocket.  Good news, pocket is up higher so placement is good.  These knits came from Mood, they are nice but very thin, so I don't love them.  It will be a good top to have something new for end of summer.  I have been taking in my Union shirts at the side seams. in fact, I should go down a size.  This one I am happy I didn't go down that size yet.  The thin knit looks better with the oversize.
