Simplicity 8304 Dress- Embellished and Embroidered with Pfaff Creative Icon

The third item for my Pfaff week and it is dress for the other granddaughter.  It has two elements created with Pfaff technology

My previous post was a top using Simplicity 8304 and this red-white seersucker came from Joann Fabrics.

Let's start with the kite and embroidery.

I used the Pfaff ImageStitch to digitize the kite.  First I found a basic kite, printed it off and then I taped it to a door, so no shadows when I took the photo.  When I took the photo, I mean I took the photo in ImageStitch.

here is the description
Use this app to take a photo of anything and it will auto-magically turn it into an embroidery design. Next, get creative by choosing from different filters for different sizes and effects on the generated design. Finally, save it to your mySewnet™ Account and it will be synchronized to your machine. Now you're ready to start!

and then I made the stitch wider

Via mySewNet, I sent this right to the machine and it was time to add more.  I used mini embroidery designs for the four sections of the kite.

The kite string and tail, shape creator for the string using the wavy line and adding a satin stitch to fill it in.  The tail  is a decorative stitch, which I duplicated and reversed to make the tail.  After I had this combined, then I repeated several to distribute along the string.

What do you think?  I love it and it was so easy and so fun!

If I did the lace edging on one dress then I had to add it to the other dress, right?

So here is another cute dress and I am sure she will wear it with her cowboy boots because that is how she rolls!

So here are the two dresses

  1. This is so cute. I can't wait to be a grandmother. So I can make cute little dresses too.
