Butterick 6378 -

Butterick 6378 made from Mood Fabrics' cotton jacquard

Do you ever get a pattern, you just want to make over and over again?   I have one this fall season that I am really liking to make and this is my third time

The pattern is Butterick 6378 and I have made it here for Kaitlyn and here for myself

The fabric is from Mood Fabrics' Navy/white Chevron Cotton Jacquard, which was originally purchased for Kwik Sew 4154.    Notice on this blouse, I have the chevrons running vertically, where on the Mood site they are running horizontal

While I was working to cut out KS 4154 but I could not get the straight of grain in a good way.  I struggled for quite some time and then gave up.  I was pulling out all my navy fabric, remember I like to sew up all one color and not change my serger thread.    This is my third navy garment and I have three more to go!

Back to the direction of the chevrons, I thought why not try to lay out the pattern a different way.  I struggle a bit but things worked out much better.  I used the fabric and a new blouse as a result.

Now to confusing you a bit.  I made this top for Kaitlyn and after completing it, I wanted to keep it.  I made Kaitlyn a 10 in the shoulders and myself a 12 in the shoulders.  I tried on this top and it was just too tight in my shoulders.  So off to Kailtyn, I mentioned to her I wanted to keep it.  After the pictures, Kaitlyn said this is a bit too tight for me, too.  Well, the top is now Meredith, who has narrow shoulders and she wore the top today and it fit perfectly.

So now there is three tops and three different owners.

I might make this one again, I just love it.

What is your favorite repeat pattern?
