Grainline Studio - Hemlock Tee

Have you all downloaded the free Grainline Hemlock Tee?
I have had it printed off for several months and I finally made time to sew it.
Dropped shoulders, relaxed fit and it is one size only.

Vogue 8997 - Mood Fabrics' Abstract Jersey

Did you all hear me shouting for joy on Saturday?  I made it to my sewing room, a day late for a new dress for a dear friend's daughter's wedding but 13 days early for my dress for Kaitlyn's rehearsal.
I love this pop of red color on this Mood Fabrics' knit and the pattern is Vogue 8997, which is a custom fit pattern with A,B,C and D cup pattern pieces

Sewing Plans

I should title this sewing dreams!  Life is crazy right now:
  1. Kaitlyn's wedding in 17 days
  2. Working feverishly at her new build house getting everything done so they can move in after wedding
  3. Working in the yard keeping it nice for the wedding and reception at our house
  4. Swimming, walking, enjoying the little guy and other family
I have been buying fabric so thought I would share some of my sewing plans after August 1st!

Burda 6904 - Skirt

Recently, Mike (the hubby) and I were heading to a casual event and I went to grab a summer skirt to wear.   It seemed like the perfect separate for  the weather and with a cute top, I would be neither over or under dressed.  Now you are probably guessing where this is going, yes, you are right.  I had no cute summer skirt.  This seems so not right, sewing skirts is a fun and quick project, right?

Two Boy Quilts

As many of you know, I make lots of baby quilts and keep them on hand for gifts.  Lately, the baby girl quilts are far outnumber the boy quilts.  In fact, Kaitlyn took the last boy quilt for a shower gift and I was in need of one boy quilt very quickly.

This boy quilt went off to a newborn little guy last weekend.  It went to  one of my hubby's golfing friends and the young couple had their first child.  I went with this fun little animal print.
This pattern I found online but didn't pin it so I cannot remember the source.  I do know it is a fun pattern to make and it is quick to make.

Friday Fashion Inspiration - 26

Welcome back after a few weeks off to
I was contacted by Farfetch. and this is the criteria
We’re looking for bloggers to get creative with how they would style the stars & stripes of the American flag into an outfit.
This is a perfect opportunity to celebrate the 4th of July fashion style!
It has turned cool here in my part of the states, so by the time it is fireworks, a pair of jeans might be needed.  These are Derek Lam jeans at Farfetch

The Jamie Jeans from Named Patterns would be so fabulous for this look
