Style Maker Fabrics' Spring Style Tour

Spring is here and I know it is by the green grass, leaves starting to pop out on the trees and it is time for the Style Maker Fabrics Spring Style Tour.  I am so excited to be part of the tour again and show you these great fabrics

Butterick 6175 in Style Maker Fabrics' Sequins

This is my top for New Year's Eve, beautiful sequins to ring in the New Year.  I am so proud of myself to have this completed several days before the day!

Ginger Jeans and Butterick 6175

 

  No white after Labor Day, how many times have we heard this?  Well, I am not following that ancient rule.
 For two reasons....
 1.  I love white jeans, they go with anything and can go from casual to dressy with a few changes
 2.  I have had this fabric since June and didn't get my white jeans made!

Burda 6904 - Skirt

Recently, Mike (the hubby) and I were heading to a casual event and I went to grab a summer skirt to wear.   It seemed like the perfect separate for  the weather and with a cute top, I would be neither over or under dressed.  Now you are probably guessing where this is going, yes, you are right.  I had no cute summer skirt.  This seems so not right, sewing skirts is a fun and quick project, right?

Butterick 6175 - Boxy top in Cotton Print

Sometimes I am just ready for something different, especially with the change of the season.  One thing I have noticed  you get older, is to stay trendy but keep it age-appropriate.  It is a delicate line to walk, I don't want to dress like a 20-something but I don't want to dress too old. I thought I would try the trend of the boxy top, notice I said boxy not crop!
