Another White Shirt Butterick 5526

This is my TNT shirt pattern (made here in  white and here in  gingham), I love how it sews up and how it feels on.  Last October, I purchased a thicker white shirting with nice stretch and finally got around to sewing it up.  The fabric is thick and a bit stiff, so I hope after multiple washings it softens a bit.

Here it is on the dressform

Here on me with my Burda 7447 red pants and a polk dot cardigan from Old Navy.  I was heading to a friend's baby shower.

and here is another one - all the white snow everywhere is wreaking havoc on my pictures color balance.  This one is better color but the cardigan is all messed up.

Thanks again for all the congratulations and best wishes on the grandson.  They are home now and we stopped by today to see him for just a bit.

Off to sew.

  3. That is such a great pattern, Lori...does it come in cup sizes?

  4. You can never have too many white shirts. And it looks so great with the red and navy. Can I ask where you found your fabric? The only white shirting I can find is very thin, and wears out so quickly. Thanks!

  5. Lisa, I selected this one because it was beefier. I found it at an outlet store in Springfield, MO, last October. It has softened up in the dryer. I can try to find the number and name of the store if you want.

    1. I have a couple fabric outlets here in MN I can check- I didn't even think of that. I guess I just assumed you ordered it online since you get a lot of your fabric that way. Thanks for the offer though. I may take you up on it if I have no luck finding some here. Have a great day!

  6. I was hoping you could post a close up of the sleeves. I am new to sewing and trying my skills on this pattern. The placket has me worried that I am doing it wrong as it looks odd. Thank you for such a great review of the pattern. You look pretty.
