Spring has sprung here in the Midwest and I couldn't pass up the photo opportunity in front of my Bradford Pear in full bloom. Grass turning green, daffodils blooming and trees budding is like new life for me. It excites and rejuvenates my soul, it is time to be outside and time to sew new clothes. Specifically new clothes in bright fun colors. Michelle of Style Maker Fabrics asked me to be part of the Spring Canvas Blog Tour and jumped at the chance. Michelle's fabrics are fabulous!

Marmalade Jacket
Yes, the grass is turning green and the daffodils are blooming and the bushes are budding. Spring is here and it is early! I am so happy for the temperatures to warm up but first it is cool and wet spring days and that means a new jacket is needed. I seem to associate spring with pastel colors especially with Easter less than two weeks away. When I bought this Mood Fabrics’ Mellow Rose Cotton Stretch Twill, I knew it was going to be a spring jacket, I just wasn’t sure of the pattern. Sorry, this soft pink is sold out but there is a nice assortment of Cotton Stretch Twillson the Mood Fabrics’ website, I am sure you can find a favorite color and/or pattern.

McCall's 7284 - Polka Dots
Do you follow McCall Pattern Company on Instagram? If not, you should, Meg does the best job inspiring me. Quite frequently, Meg posts a RTW picture and a pattern suggestion, which I love. Friday Fashion, Inspiration, right? My problem is I know I cannot remember all the inspirations and pattern numbers, so I screenshot the Instagram picture. I can reference that screenshot anytime on my phone.

How fun to be able to design your own fabric! I would probably chose one already made though as there are so many great choices.
