Vogue 8840 - Ponte Knit

I mentioned in my first Vogue 8840 post I was going to try it in a ponte knit, well here that one is
Vogue 8840 top using Ponte knit and topstitching

On this version, I used the center front and center back seams to add some interest to the knit
I did lower the neckline just a bit from my first stripe top.  I used my coverstitch machine to topstitch on each side of the center front and center back seam.

This one is the shorter length and did sew on the sleeves, topstiched and then sewed the underarm seam.  This worked much better

I hadn't included my dog in a while so he came in for some photos.  I do think the ponte probably acts more like the woven which is the recommendations.  I just love a top that can work for a woven or a knit and this one is such a winner.  I love wearing these two tops.

Now  if you are reading this through feedly, bloglovin, etc, please click to the website, I have an all new look thanks to Kim and her incredible talent.  She is a specialist with blogger and I cannot believe how great my blog looks now.  Also, I have a domain now, www.girlsinthegarden.net
is mine and it should take you right from the blogspot to the new address.

Kim offers a blog review service with wonderful suggestions for your blog.

One of the features I love on my blog is the tabs on top.  Just click patterns and you can see the categories.  I am working on going through all my back posts and adding independent to the appropriate posts.
