Chevron Dolman Sleeve Top

After making myself a dolman top, Meredith spoke right up that she wanted one of these.  She picked this chevron fabric from The Needle Shop, it is such great fabric and I love the big bold chevron.

Now for the tricky part of this photo shoot - Kaitlyn is my model for Meredith's top.  Kaitlyn was home from school and Meredith wasn't.  I really wanted to get pictures taken, so Kaitlyn volunteered.

I made a medium for Meredith and made sure to keep the chevrons level.  I was amazed out nicely the chevrons matched on the side seams.

I love this little freebie top, especially when you use a fabric with lots of punch.  Head to Cation Designs to download this free pattern

  1. Inspiring as usual! I've been wanting to do a chevron dolman top, but I'm concerned about how the pattern plays out on the top sleeve seams. Not weird, I guess?

    1. Thanks, Kris, you are right that could be an issue. I just thought mine would be better than RTW and went with it (LOL) thanks.

  2. Lori, this top is SO CUTE! These bold chevrons are right in style. I'm sure your daughter will enjoy wearing it. Aren't they so blessed to have a mom who loves to sew -- for them!
