Sunspot from The Practical Guide to Patchwork

This quilt has been back from the quilter since June but has been on display at the quilt shop until September.  It took me a month to get to binding it and then another couple of weeks to photograph it.
Here is the original post with the book details and a picture after I completed the top.

Now the totally completed quilt

I am thrilled how this quilt turned out, I love the colors, pattern and the the quilting is perfect.

Sewing time has been very limited of late with the new job and I am helping my son-in-law remodel a house.
I am a great demolition person Smile and good at scheduling the contractors.  This is a fun adventure and I am enjoying it but do miss my sewing time.  Today I am do a bit of painting at the house, then helping Meredith cut out a quilt and then maybe some sewing for me.  I have a little baby boy shirt all cut out.

  5. That's a beautiful quilt. I wonder who it's going to, or if it will be on one of your own beds. You are a "jill of all trades" and it sounds like you have a very full and happy life.

    1. This one is all mine. It is too small for my bed but just right folded up at the end. I do have a busy life and enjoying all of it right now, missing my sewing but the house won't take forever (I hope!
