  1. Congratulations on five years! I'm wearing my favourite garment right now. Its a self-made green and white cotton knit jacket with pure wool bindings around the edges. It's comfortable, stylish and made from vintage (c1960s) fabric bought for just $6. I'm not much of a gardener myself. My garden is quite beautiful nonetheless - in a wild tropical way. Just now the first spring cyclamen are peeking out from among the ferns.

  2. Yay, congratulation on 5 years!!! Hmm, my favorite garment I've made is probably one of my twist dresses from NL6802. It's hard to pick because I have lots I really like a lot. I also recently made another Jalie sweetheart top in gray that I really like too. :-)

  3. Congratulations with 5 year anniversary! My fav garment is the first EVER dress that I made for my daughter, it was New Look pattern. Instrucuctions were clear until the insurtion of a zipper. I didn't understand them and put the dress of for 1,5 years. i took a sewing cource and only then finished the dress. The good thing is that I took a larger size and it still fits her! She wears it now!

  8. Gosh! I just love everything your do - from the very cute pink dresser for Meridith, to the beautiful clothes you make for yourself! All you furniture re-dos encouraged me to do something new for my sweet little daughter recently - and it turned out awesome! Just like something you would have done!

I sew all the time - but I am also in the middle of an internship for my degree work, and so don't have much time to post any more.

I've recently started listening to your podcasts ~ I know a little late ~ but I am enjoying them so much. It's great to finally meet/hear bloggers that I have been following, and then be introduced to new people/bloggers and products. You put a lot of effort into your podcasts and it truly shows, they are very enjoyable and informative.
    Thank You!

  15. Congrats on your blogiversary. Wow five years!

All your garments are my favourites, and you always inspire me. I think the thing I remember most over the five years, plus the earlier Sew4Me/Kids years, is watching the girls grow up. My how time flies!!

  16. Five years is quite an accomplishment...Congratulations! I love your blog. Your are a proficient seamstress, have great style, and are multi-talented! I think my favorite recent garment of yours is the teal trench coat you made from McCall's 5525. I just love that coat! Also, I wish my house was full of your quilts :) I am truly inspired by what you share here.

  21. Congrats on Five Years Blogging! Wow hard to pick just one thing that I like, I enjoy your sewing reviews, listening to your podcasts, and I guess my favorite sewing project was the black dress (Butterick 5495) I loved how you styled it differently with a cardigan, white jacket, and denim jacket showing different looks for a little black dress. My favorite redo was your basement...great job!

  25. Congratulations on 5 years! Your blog has inspired me so many times, both your projects and your family experiences. You are one talented lady with a beautiful family!! When I opened my Blog Reader, if there is an update from you, I open it first!

I don't have one favorite of yours (as you know, we have very similar tastes so it's hard to choose!!) but I do love the jackets you make. The tan zippered jacket with gathered collar was one of my faves. Loved the teal trench and I also really love the white jacket with the little tab buttonholes.

Congratulations on 5 years Lori! I listen to Sew Forth Now and love both the blogs too. I am in the midst of starting up a blog and can only hope to be as good at it as you! I'm not sure I really have a favourite garment but I did just make a Kindle cover I'm really pleased with - but the main thing is that my Nan taught me to sew a long time ago. I wish I'd paid more attention, but then don't we all. But every time I sew, I have that connection to her and that's important to me. Here's to many more years Lori! xx
