I used these fabrics to make the Marlo Sweater and just had to make something else with the stripe knit for sure. It was just too good, Shannon @justsewshannon and I were chatting (via DM on IG) and she suggested it for a pocket on a sweatshirt. I knew just the pattern the Nova Raglan which I have made several times
The pouch pocket does look great in the stripe knit and I used an oatmeal rib knit for the trim on the pouch and for the neckband and cuffs.
One problem there was not enough stripe fabric for the full raglan sleeves. I tried several options and quite a bit of unsewing until I decided on inserting a band of the rust. I think this not only looks great but was the perfect solution to make it work.
I used the same rust for the bottom band, the oatmeal would have been perfect but just wasn't enough.
I am so happy with this and know it will get worn so much.
So cute! I love doing "use it all" projects...makes for interesting garments and it challenges our brains.
