Sewing For Grandkids - Brindille and Twig

Embroidery and sewing for the grandkids are a good combination.

Recently my role for Pfaff is working with their mySewnet software.  I love using the software and learning and implementing it into my sewing.  On Wednesday, February 10th, I had the wonderful opportunity to host a Facebook Live for mySewnet, which was a Valentine theme.  I made several things to have examples and to show a "how-to" for the software.  The live is on the mySewnet Facebook page if you would like to watch it anytime.

The main focus was on this pillow with each element explained.  In fact, I did a bit different heart trail from the pick-up bed to show a few more options.

As I said I wanted to have a few more things to show as examples and one more to do another how-to.  The live was to run 45-60 minutes.

I wanted to show how to add lettering, then add a quilt block stitching around the lettering, delete the lettering for an echo effect.

Here it is on the back of the Brindille and Twig Grandpa Cardigan

and then with Over it Alls pattern - the pink jacket fabric is from Jumping June Textiles a new to me source.  The llama fabric is from Joann's.  At least I think so, at the end of January, I ordered quite a bit of fabric so I would have somethings on hand for the grand kids.

This set is for new granddaughter and she will grow into it, this is 3 month size

I used the extra fabric for two Raglan t-shirts so all the granddaughters will match!

I used the last of the llama fabric for my three -year old  granddaughters, thought it would be cute if they all would match.  This the the Raglan Tee from Brindille and Twig

I used the same embroidery concept for a pair of  Mini Modern Joggers, and embellished  the knee patch for the older 3 year old (they are 2 months apart)

This  fabric for the joggers came from Milly Mae Fabrics.

I used mySewnet on the sweatshirt and the Encore feature, adding buttonholes in the embroidery and used ribbon to weave in and hot of the buttonholes.  The sleeve fabric is from Knit Fabric - Woodland

These are also Raglan Sweatshirts, the French Terry with stripe ribbing  from L &  E Fabrics

I used a script font in mySewnet and took out the letter o and used an applique heart.

Next up for my youngest grandson, Brindille & Twig Bodysuit

And the pants are the cuff pants

Last, a Flutter Dress, shortened to shirt length I used the Encore function of mySewnet for this also.

The leggings are Brindille and Twig's leggings and the heart fabric came from Knit Fabrics

It was so fun to do a Facebook Live for mySewnet,, it was a pleasure and a great opportunity brought to me through sewing.  While trying so many techniques for the Live, I made some fun outfits for my grands.
