Three Quilts from Anna Maria Horner Mod Cosage

What do you do when you buy too many jelly rolls from one fabric group?  Well, in my case I made three quilts!

My intention from this Anna Maria Horner's Mod Corsage line was to make a pretty complicated quilt pattern and make it in a queen size.  Well, I took a good look at the pattern and decided it wasn't something I really, really wanted to do!   I decided to make quilts until I ran out of fabric.

The first one is from Strip Savvy book and it went together very quickly.  I love how this fabric just pops out with the vibrant colors.  To be honest, when I unrolled the jelly rolls, I was very surprised with the colors and they were not something I would normally select.

Now take a look at the pattern and the fabric.

I still had fabric left so I went with this Chain Quilt pattern from Quilting Quickly Magazine

 and not so sure about the Quilting Quickly part.  This one took some time but it was worth it in the end.

My corners do not match up the best, I seem to have a hard time on jelly rolls.  Do I put the 1/4" foot next to the inside pinked part or outside pinked part?  In the end I am just not consistent, thus the corners which don't match up.  In the end it quilts out and for the most part you will be looking at the quilt from a distance.

Last up this fun quilt, which I cannot remember the pattern name and I don't have anymore.  Meredith took it to her house and  I will ask her later.  This really has a unique look and I love how it turned out.  One thing for sure, this one is so quick to make.

I finished these quilts in November but waited until after Christmas to send them to the long arm quilter.  Three quilts from the same fabric isn't something I needed to have three of.  Meredith and Kaitlyn love quilts, to make and to have, my other two girls not so much.  After binding all these quilts, the girls came over to pick their favorite.  It was so fun and each of us selected a different one for our favorite.  The first one in this blog post is all mine, the second one is Kaitlyn's and  last one is Meredith's.
Now back to all those jelly rolls, did I use them all?  NOPE, I had one full roll left and a half of another one.  One thing for sure I could not make another quilt from this fabric line but a friend didn't have enough fabric.  Problem solved, we traded some fabric and each of us were so thrilled!
