Pie Safe - Before and After

Years ago, my wonderful aunt gave hubby and I this pie safe and it was in such beautiful needy condition.

First, we had to have it put back together (there was no back) and then I stripped it and punched the tin. This is what it has looked like for 20 years.

Perfectly fine and very pretty but I was ready for a change.  After seeing all this wonderful painted furniture on several blogs and my family room is full of wood pieces, I thought a turquoise would brighten up the room.  It did just that.

I used True Value paint 26A26 (Adrift), which I found was one of the featured paints in the latest Better Homes and Gardens.

I am sharing on Miss Mustartd Seed's Friday Favorites
