Two New Tops

A couple of new tops from the weekend. The first is Hot Patterns Metropolitan Tie Me Down top. I reviewed it in the short sleeve version here and decided to make it in the long sleeve. I added 2" to the length, the pattern itself is pretty short. I also took 1/2" in on each side seam. Next time I will trace a size smaller. I really like the shirring on this shirt, adds dimension to the top.

Next Jalie 2787, reviewed originally here. The fabric is leftover from this Onion top and I felt a need to use the last bit up from my stash. The contrast is from the above Hot Patterns top.

The top doesn't photograph the best but our kitten does. There was a breeze tonight and Tess was trying to catch the sleeves of my top while sitting on the top of the chaise lounge.

This kitten has such personality and we so enjoy her.

  7. Your kitty is so cute. We also have a new kitten and she is so much fun! (And a pain in the neck when I'm trying to sew!)

I love both your tops. I made a dress from the oversized herringbone print. Love that fabric!

  9. Hi Lori
I've come over from Stacy's Theme Thursday and am very interested in all your sewing. Wish I had more time for it myself. Also wish I owned a serger!!! (we call them overlockers) We are also a new kitten family although she is now about 6 months old. They are such a joy aren't they?
