Simplicity 8982 - Zebra Print
Do see a garment by another sewist and immediately need to get that fabric and pattern? Well this happened with this garment when Indoor Shannon posted hers on Instagram
Shannon has a great blog post on the her blog and her photos are so inspiring. Mily Mae Fabrics' zebra Hacci Knit was still available after Shannon's post and I am happy to say, it is still available. The fabric is soft and cozy and wonderful and wonderful to sew.
Now the pattern, Simplicity 8982, which was a Sew Your View one month and the garments were all amazing. This is one of those patterns, simple but such a statement. The sleeves, neck and shape all combine for a great pattern. The sleeves are my favorite, the volume with the wide cuff, perfect!
This pattern took about one hour to sew and I can't wait to make another one. I am going to make the mock neck a bit taller or even more for a true turtleneck.
Thanks Shannon for such great inspiration, hope you don't mind me copying you.
