Day two of Christmas gift sewing and a new bag for Kaitlyn. This bag is the Gingham Tote from Handmade Style by Anna Graham (Noodlehead)
I didn't have two zippers in the same color, so I went with an ombre look on the pocket! The two blues blend perfectly with the fabric.
Kaitlyn picked out this fabric in August and I finally got to it, making the bag in a couple of nights. Most of the hard work is cutting and fusing the interfacing on the pieces to stiffen the fabric.
I was going to wait on this gift, as it wasn't a Christmas present or birthday present but changed my mind. Kaitlyn was in need of a pick-me-up, so mom went to work on her bag.
I have made this pattern before, a bag for Meredith back in August. I only took a quick IG picture and no other photos. Meredith's bag was easy, she had it all cut out and the interfacing fused.
The instructions in the book are excellent and easy to follow. The book has excellent patterns throughout including clothing patterns. I know this will be one of many patterns I try out in the book.
Pockets abound with this bag, the big pocket on the outside which includes the two zipper pockets along with two on the inside
If you are in need of a cross-body bag, this one is a great pattern and quick to make. With that in mind, you have plenty of time to finish it for a Christmas present!
Kaitlyn was thrilled with her bag and mom was thrilled to finish it for her.
Stay tuned, more gift sewing all week!
