McCall's 6752

I have made this pattern twice before a top and a dress   This time a sleeveless version

The fabric I used was this metallic knit from Mood Fabrics.

Since the top was so loose, I added elastic to the fronts, adding it while a I serged the neck edges.  Then I turned it under and used my coverstitch machine.

I don't care for it much by itself but showing you this picture so you can see the top

closer look, the side seams of the band have elastic ruched in the seam allowance.  You really can't even tell it is there.

This will be the way I wear this top with a jacket or a sweater.

The knit is wonderful and nice for a touch of glam, I am just not sure I selected the most perfect pattern.

I do need to add to my post, this fabric was purchased with my own money.  I receive an allowance from Mood Fabrics for my posts on Mood Sewing Network.  The garments that show up only on my blog,  like this metallic knit fabric are purchased with by me.  I just wanted to clarify.

  1. You are a sewing rockstar in that you have time to sew every month not only with your allowance but also with fabric that was bought fully with your own money! One of these days... I really like the gold color of this new top and the outfit you pulled together to wear with it. I'd say your personal style consultation has made a big impact!

    1. Thanks, Amy, I just see so much I like on Mood, I shop and shop! Yes, the consultant helped and she continues to pin wardrobe ideas to a pinterest board she created for both of us.

I see that you decided to go stripeless with this version. Two great tops and a dress from the same m6752 pattern is a bang for your buck. Thanks for sharing.
