Fourth of July Cake

Kaitlyn used this cake tutorial to make this

You can see more of the flag design in this picture

Isn't that the coolest cake?  Kaitlyn had so much fun making it and everyone at our family picnic thought is was fabulous.

Our day was spent:

Talking - my parents and brother.  My parents just celebrated their 50th anniversary a couple of weeks ago

A great day for celebrating!

  1. It looks like such a fun day. Makes me a little bit homesick really.

  2. That cake is amazing! Kaitlyn is quite the baker! I see a lot of cakes in your family's future as she gets ready for the wedding cake adventure.

  3. You know what? I can't think of a better way to spend the holiday. What fun!

  4. You are lucky to have a national day that isn't mired in controversy. Australia Day is rather muddied by Aboriginal protests and I don't feel comfortable celebrating the establishment of a prison island on stolen land.
    Cake looks great BTW.

  5. That cake is too pretty to eat.
