First off, cooking for cold, icy weather. I had to get it made just in case the electricity went out. Warm, gooey monkey bread. It was delicious, and after I get done at the computer I will have another piece.
Next on the sewing front, finished my Simplicity Built by Wendy blouse with several alterations. I added 1" to the neckline, sure didnt' want that low of a v-neck. I also added 1" to the bottom of the empire bodice. I think this helps to make it not so maternity looking. I tried the blouse on and love the look of the top. Now for the weather to clear up and I can wear it out.
I put it with a sweater and beads on my dressform, I like this look, too. What do you think?
Mmmmm. Both look yummy! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love the top! Would you recommend that pattern to an apparel sewing novice?
ReplyDeleteI love the top! I have the pattern and material picked out for it, thanks for the suggestions on making it. The monkey bread looks delicious too. I hope that you don't lose electricity in the mean time.
ReplyDeleteI like the top, but like it even more with the added sweater!!
ReplyDeleteBeads definitely add a nice touch and it looks nice with the sweater, but I like it better without. That is such a pretty pattern. When I've seen pictures, though, I've often thought it would make me look pregnant. The changes you made definitely take out the maternity look
