Women's Raglan- Patterns for Pirates

Back in August, I was asked to test the
 Spirit Jacket
for my little guy (aka grandson) and the jacket is great and his mom loves it.

Well, Beth (pattern designer's mom) asked me to make a couple of women's patterns.  I said of course I would and here is the first one
Patterns for Pirates
is the name of the pattern company and this pattern is
 Women's Raglan

This pattern requires no trimming to assemble the pdf printout, a feature I just love.

I had some great ponte from Fabric Mart in my stash and I went right to work on this pattern.

It is so quick to make but has so many nice features, I especially like the triangle inset at the neck.  What is it about that little piece of fabric that just finishes off the front of a sweatshirt?

I made the shorter length in the top and used the measurements in between the tight and loose bottom band.

I don't know about my face - grin- eyes here but this is a good picture of the raglan sleeves.

Back look of the raglan top.  On the sleeves, I pushed them up for the photographs and that is just the way I like to wear them.  I do want you to know the sleeves were long and I did not have to add my usual 1" to the arm length.

I think I need a black-white gingham shirt to wear under this raglan shirt, what do you think?

Head over to the Patterns for Pirates Etsy Shop and see all the great patterns for the entire family.
