They are talkin...Let's look at the picture 17. They are talking about the lower facing edge. See how it is trimmed? I would trim the coat front and facing front all in one. But start in 3/4" from the end of the facing, that way you leave the hem of the coat longer in the facing part. It will lay better if longer and your can hem that bit under the facing.
