Montauk Trousers and Union St Tee

Here is a very spring/summer outfit.  Floral pants and a pink t-shirt and I am ready for summer.

I am part of the Liesl & Co Advisors Circle and loved making the Montauk Trousers .  At first I was going to order some linen for these pants and then I remembered this Mood Fabrics' Italian Denim Floral Stretch Cotton Twill and thought what a great combination.

These pants are semi-fitted, pull-on with elastic waist and drawstring closure.  I started with a size 10, but took the side seams in quite a bit.  Next time, I will make between a 6 and an 8.  Another change would be to take 3/4 inches  off the rise.  I am 5'8" tall with height in my legs and a long waist, my rise is on the short side.  Other than the size changes, this pattern went together so quickly with wonderful instructions and graphics.

I omitted the back pockets, no floral overload there!  LOL.  I did match the pattern on the front patch pocket, I have a tutorial over at the Oliver & S blog.

Here is the matching

I did not have enough fabric for the drawstring but I did have a great gingham and it is a wonderful compliment to the floral

This fabric is amazing, so great to sew and press but most of all the perfect amount of stretch for a comfy pair of pants.

The back with not pockets.

My t-shirt is also new, the Union St. Tee by Hey June and my favorite.  I did make this one shorter by three inches.  Pant rises are going up and I don't need all that extra fabric in the length.  Now this fabric is amazing and comfy and perfect for summer, you should run and get this fabric for your favorite t-shirt pattern.  It is Style Maker Fabrics' Organic Cotton Jersey Knit  in Heather Pink - there is 5 colors in all.  The light blue just arrived at my house and it is going to be another Union St Tee!

That's it for another make and don't forget to check out the tutorial for the print matching.

Thanks and happy sewing.

Disclosure - As part of the Liesl & Co Advisor's Circle, I receive the pattern and other Liesl & Co patterns.  The opinions are all mine.

  1. At first I thought the print in the trousers had pink in it but the close up shot read differently. Guess that shows that the pink tee goes so well with the print pants. This is a nice, cheery summer outfit for both "at home" and "out" if we ever can truly be social. Karen

  3. My wish right now is that God should continue to bless Dr Emu for his good works towards the life of those people who are heart broken. My name is Michael DeBruin and I am from the USA, it's been a while since my lover's attitude changed from being the caring type she has been to me, but later turned out not to be caring at all. But not long, I later discovered that my lover was having an affair with someone else. and also she told me she doesn't need me after all we pass through then a friend told me about a spell caster. that with the spell I will get back my woman, I took his cell number then called him and also what's-app him which he reply to me and I did some sacrifices to the spell man and he bought the items for me which he used for the sacrifices and later called me that before 48 hours my love will come back to me and now we are more in love with each other than ever. you can reach him on WhatsApp +2347012841542 or reach him via mail ; emutemple@gmail.com , my lover returned back and broke up with the other guy she was having a relationship with... Thank you Dr Emu.
